hey there everyone, i just got done bowling my couple leagues and city tournament this week and its been pretty much the same as every other week, bowling on my thursday night league the shot was really good and our team rocked the house, we shot something like 3100 actuall and like 3400 with handicap one guy shot like a 486 another shot 640, i shot 663, and the other two guys shot 690 and 717, then we bowled in the city tourney a couple days later and shot fairly close shooting 3000 something actual and 3337 or something in team event and we won the scracth overall and came in 2nd or 3rd with handicap, all in all it was a really good weekend, that is until i got to my other league on sunday nights here at my home center, it was pretty much teh same crap as every other week, if u play anywhere outside the first arrow the ball would hook so much it would barely hit the head pin on the brooklyn side and if u got it anywhere inside of that then it would just skid all the way to the pins no matter how slow or how much u rev'd it up. i think i ended up shooting like a 440 something, i managed to get a 191 my first game mainly b/c i somehow got a couple strikes in a row and managed to leave mostly makable spares, after that it just went to hell leaving split after split after split, now ive bowled in a whole lot of different bowling alleys in my life on tons of different oil patterns including some very hard ones at college tournaments and i have never seen a shot that sucked any worse than this one does. and its like it all the time its truly pathetic, if u play outside the ball hooks like a mother but if u get anywhere inside its just like a plastic ball, its like u might as well give up and just throw it hard and straight which gives all the advantage to the open bowlers and the less experienced ones. if anyone has any suggestions on what ball i should throw or what i should do it would be greatly appreciated.

Bowling Alley here in town

Hello, i had just finshed bowling my weekly league at my home center on my sunday night trio league. the last time i bowled on there was 2 weeks ago, we had a week off for the super bowl way to go colts, anyway i had bowled really well i shot a couple games that barely broke 200 and my last game i tore it up and shot like a 250 something and ended up with a 663 series and the last year and a half i probably only had maybe 1 600 the entire time there, keep in mind anywhere else i go i can shoot a 6 with relatively ease for the most part. This past week i bowled and it was like normal, the shot was changed yet again mostly b/c it changes like every week, the lanes pretty much played out like this, on either side of the lane on the outside 5 or 6 boards its basically bone dry with very little if any oil at all, i threw my plastic ball right down the gutter and it was going brooklyn if that sets a picture but if u got the ball anywhere in the middle of that it was going to skid all the way to the pins, i tried to play the lanes exactly the way i did when i shot my 663 around the second arrow straight up the laneĀ and let it hook up to the pocket but all it did was skid all the way to the pins and no matter how slow or how much i rev'd it up it would still skid all the way to the pins i think i ended up shooting something like 440 something if that, im averaging around 154 or something like that yet at a different league at a different center ive got an average thats 30 pins higher with ease and the shot is consistent no troubles at all. if anyone has any suggestions on what i should do as far as asking the center to change things b/c everyone is struggling all the time for the most part, (except for those that just throw a straight ball) or if i need to do something with how i should play the lanes, im left handed by the way, or if i need a different ball that would work on ice or on extremely heavy amounts of oil, i was throwing my storm paradigm and was going straight throwing it slow and revving it up and the ball is drilled stacked for maximum hooking potential. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
